I will stay Thrus. Fri. and Sat. I have school on Monday and a cat who will be lonely.

But I have no problem helping with the rest. I will be late on Thrusday because I am going to Avenue Q that day too.

As it turns out, my previous helper should be available Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I would still like help prepping the room for the WLP party- especially since I'm probably going to keep the WLP booth open until dealer's closing time at 7 PM.

OK, Queen, that makes the numbers:

THURS - 5 (about $58 per person)
FRI - 8 (about $36 per person)
SAT - 8 (about $36 per person)
SUN - either 2 or 5 depending ($145 or $58)

Well seeing how I don't know when the people are flying into houston and we're greyhounding unless we can find a ride for three plus bags...

Uuuuh... I dunno Fri to Monday morning is what I want to say but we might make it to dallas late thru... I'm planning on not info on when they are boarding and landing sorry kris...

Trust me its stressful on me not knowing when I need to be ready to pick up houseguest or be able to check a ride to dallas... I still dislike driving my truck into houston traffic.

$252 is a hell of a lot less than last year's +$400 fiasco, whew. Since I'm driving, I'll see if I can bring a 'decent' supply of Giant Pixie Stixs-- because the panther be pimpin' his sweet pixies.

One question Kris might be able to answer, is the hotel parking garage open 24hrs? If so, I'd love to sneak in just after midnight (if I hide myself well enough, I can probably get away with sleeping in the car Wednesday into Thursday morning)

From Nashville? Heh, I'm driving from Knoxville. :lol:

It'll be a 2day trip anyway, I highly suspect I'll call it quits late Wednesday about 2-3hrs outside Dallas and sleepover at a cheap motel... then (after a refreshing shower so I don't gag people) do the last quick hop to arrive before 9am-- my Registration shift starts at 10am, all pre-show work like taping lines and such.

For those coming in a bit late, this year WLP had Micha Jordan, who draws the webcomic "Promethius", as a booth bunny and helper.

And this year she had one of the worst A-Kons ever.

THURSDAY: Brought her handmade rag dolls and plushies to be set up at WLP's booth; stuffed flyers into giveaway comics for HentaiFest; locked keys in car and had to get a pop-lock service (courtesy of Morphy's AAA card).

FRIDAY: Favorite, not-for-sale for-display-only doll was shoplifted between 12 and 2.

SATURDAY: Custom-made fox-tail for her "vixen girl" outfit either fell off or was ripped off. Bought a gift for a friend from Peter S. Beagle (as in <I>The Last Unicorn</I>), forgot it at a panel, had to replace it.

SUNDAY: Favorite Chinese dress seams began giving out up from the bottom back.

To offset the suck, there was only: (a) hanging out with friends, possibly including me; (b) the Abney Park concert, at which she had fun; and (c) meeting the aforementioned Peter S. Beagle. I should add that Micha does NOT like working tables at conventions- she's not fond of cons, of noise, or of working retail. I paid her what I could afford, but quite honestly it wasn't enough to make up for all the suck the weekend put her through.
