Plans on Hanging Out?

Just wondering if anyone are planning to hang out with others on the day before the con or during the con. As for me, I might be hanging out with some of the guys from bakunyuu.com. Anyone else like to share?

The word for BAR-1 and I will be busy. Conventions are work-time for us, and A-Kon is the hardest work I have all year- averaging four hours of sleep per night Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday night, possibly Sunday night as well. I have to track down various people (including Nipple Magician creator Kouzou Shimokata, NNHS rights owner Ben Dunn, and many current or potential WLP artists) and maintain contact with them, circulate flyers, get food and refreshments and A/V equipment arranged for the party (or parties), and above all run a table and sell enough stuff to recoup the $900 (minimum) in royalties plus room share and expenses I'll have to lay out while I'm there.

I'm only able to "hang out" at a convention if I'm in dealer's room and forced to -stop- working.

If you wanna hang out pre con then I'm sure that all the fans of w.l.p. have some chill time set aside (non-working fans like myself will have a few things to do until opening ceremonys and such I'm bringing my laptop and several emulators and am looking forward to finaly having a chance to relax and chill out from work (*ome dep*t almost threatend to hold their summit at the same place and time as a-kon the did at a.w.a. and I almost had to work through that con thank god they let me go instead of working... )that being said , if you dont know who I am I cos-played as dan hibiki from Street Fighter last year and I'm pretty easy to spot in a crowd... this year I'm still cos-playing as dan but pre -con I'm pretty much going to relax in my chongsam (chineese long coat if anyone wants to just chill look me up I will be arriving at about noon. I should be checked into the hotel by then and on the floor ( I tend to frequent the arcade. )

Me and my buds are having a pre con bash. We're picking up our tickets, finishing our cosplay and getting plastered. Yep, house full of drunk otaku... Great fun!

I sincerely look forward to seeing Kris and Ben again ( they rocked pretty friggin' HARD at last year's A-KON.) but to tell you the truth I realy look forward tomeeting fellow fans of wlp ( I usualy get a LOT of strange looks when I show people what I am and what I like... ) maybee we all just need to share a drink sometime during or before the con ( just don't bring up absinthe and we'll get along just fine ...heh ) if anyone whants to meet me for a drink let me know I'll go out of my way to accomidate you... (this is the one truly rare moment in all of the year that I can actualy allow myself to drink into blissful intoxication... ) normaly due to work , people depending on me et cetra I can barely afford a second to relax and enjoy a good drink. ( this sucks doubly because of the casinos that are literaly a "stone's throw" away and the personell that I know at afformentioned casinos... ) that being said I hope to finaly meet everybody and gods bless...

I will be coming to Dallas 1 day before the con propper i.e. thursday i will be checking in to the hotel around 12:00 or 1:00 depending on how many "pit-stops" my convoy takes along the way (gods I hope noboddy has a weak bladder like last year... ) give me a little time to unpack and shower and I should hit the floor at close to 2:00 p.m. tht is if i dont have to play pschyitrist to anyone in the group... look forward to seeing you. ( note :wizard of odd is much uglier in the real world,you have been warned... heh!)
