Shiroi Kuykendahl is being adopted. I will be spamming this portion of the board with art of her. The art will not be of an adult nature, in the hentai, ecchi, pornographic sense. However, it may eventually be mature in the classical sense of the term. I recognize that she is a trademarked character, but this fan art will be posted here with all rights reserved.

theyre pretty good, the only problem with Shiroi it that she doesn't really fit with all the other female WLP characters but thats not your fault lol.

I'm interested to know more about the idea for the webcomic.

Thank you for your consideration. This is a test comic, because I wasn't sure if the "artist wanted" plaque was big enough.

The comic is basically a continuation of what was written in Chichi-chan. Shiroi gains an artist (as you can see), but he isn't a writer, so they mostly just hang around WLP studio, talking about comics and games. http://www.wlpcomics.com/adult/chichi/129.html

(Shiroi might not even realize she's in the kind of comic she's always wanted :wink:

The "magic artist" bit is used for more than one gag.)

I debated about it, but I thought the biblical quotes added an element of wholesomeness to the first sketch. I'm still debating the wardrobe. Pants are practical, but it kind of highlights what we're doing if we have an anime-style girl in a mini-skirt who doesn't have a single panty shot... ...not that you can tell in this comic anyway :oops:

Um, can I ask what's the mood about what I'm doing? I mean, is a cease and desist order in my future or what?

And yeah, I'm thinking about doing a little sprite work, just experimentally while I'm thinking about what style to draw Shiroi in. Does anyone have an artist or an anime-style they'd like to recommend I study/emulate? My current art style seems a little... thin...

Switching from sprites to hand drawn for a moment.

Most of these panels will be digitally cleaned and used as clip art. That will remove most of the dialouge, but Super Princess Peach was merely chosen as a subject to allow Shiroi to display a range of emotions. In the last panel, Alita's features, including the markings, were tried out on Shiroi's face.

For my own thoughts, I have to say the effect on Shiroi is about as wrong as the Princess Peach cosplay would've been. The costume sketch is there as an homage to LuckyStar and its 4-koma format. Toad's outfit suits Shiroi's slightly tomboyish image and is only a minor change from her usual outfit. Alita's facial features make Shiroi look more like a cheerleader, or at least like she's wearing more make-up. As the all-ages mascot, I think Shiroi's image should be cleaner and I'll probably go back to the original style of drawing for now.

When I say "spam" I usually mean "SPAM," but I'm going to be away from the internet for a few days.

Tomorrow's (right after A-KON? go figure), so if anyone wants to participate in my place, I'm hoping to upload at midnight, but that's probably not the best idea before an early departure.

Anyway, I'm trying not to post unless I have something vaguely resembling art, so its back to the sprites:

This may become Shiroi's new base sprite. I should probably point out that the earlier sprites were all based on Marle from Chrono Trigger, whose sheet was placed on Spriters Resource by Tonberry2k. This new one is Freya from Valkyrie Profile, uploaded to the same site by Nae, and hasn't been modified yet. It shouldn't take much more than a recolor, and her ponytail seems a good model for Shiroi.

Feedback if you feel like.

Okay, this question has been bugging me for weeks: Shiroi's never appearing in porn, but is she supposed to be 18? Older? Younger?

Yes, its a body development issue in drawing her, but its also different writing dialog for adults or children in a fundamental way. I'm going to read WAY too much into it either way, so could someone just give me a number so I can get on with it?
