Not counting the story updates this year there is a 31 percent update rate per week this year. And honestly it doesn't look like it's getting any better. Perhaps you should change the comic to a bi monthly or monthly release? It makes me sad to see the comic struggling like it is. I don't want to see it die off of course, but it's been almost an entire year with abysmal update rates.... Just pointing out the elephant in the room.

Another month gone without any artwork at all. At least before there used to be filler pages. I'm getting the impression that there isn't as much caring anymore. There's little to no communication, mostly just silence and an un-updated homepage. I didn't say anything for the longest time because im a huge fan and didn't want to ruffle feathers.... But damn guys, no offense, you need to get your stuff together. I love ya both and love this strip so I'm giving some tough love.

Yeah it depends on Ben who apparently doesn't have the time to do PitW, but has the time to do a drawing a day for Drawloween.

I didn't even get to YoumaCon fully. Wasn't able to get Saturday night off.
So.. Saturday of YoumaCon for me was- wake up 7ish... demo Robotech from 9ish to... 9 ish...
then go to work from 11:30 to 8am... no sleep in between..
yeah.. I've been in a pretty f'ed up way of late. Little sleep, less energy

At this point, it might be time to put this thing out of its misery. There were 25 pages posted last year; this year it's 12. That's one page a month. Writer and artist seem to be miles away in terms of communication, and both of them appear to be hanging on by a thread finanically (which makes working on a free webcomic a low priority). Worse yet, I don't feel like the story is reaching any sort of conclusion; in a lot of ways, nothing's really happened for five years, since the incident between Peter and Butch. Aside from the introduction of Lee and Juniper, things really aren't any different than they were in 2011.

I know, we're complaining about something that's being given for free, but the webcomic landscape is way different than what it was when PitW debuted. People are going to move on to other places, if they haven't already.

Honestly, I'd prefer sporadic updates to the webcomic shutting down altogether unless it becomes financially unfeasible for Kris. The story is reaching its end and as long as we get there, I can wait a couple more years. I've been here since the beginning and I want to be here when it reaches its conclusion.

Right now I'm writer-blocked on PitW -20, which is why there hasn't even been that recently.

One of the two pages for the next update is in hand. Waiting on the adult page.

Sorry but I cannot support this comic anymore. I love the art and love the story but I'm not going to sit here and watch it slowly die off like a sick dog. It's a severe lack of communication with the fans, the lack of apologies for the 75 percent failure rate at updates, the abundance of excuses, and that unshakable feeling that they just don't give a shit anymore. If another physical copy is released I may buy it but at the current production rate I expect it to be late 2020 before next volume ready. Sorry for the hate but you guys have been fucking off, plain and simple. Whatever excuses you give you still need to work your shit out. That being said I wish you both the best. Hope you improve things around here. If I want to be disappointed every Thursday from now I'll turn on the news instead.

I offer my services to keep PiTW going. I may not be able to match Bar1's style without mine coming through, but I believe I can come very close. With the comic being done in manga style (which at its very essence is black and white like a coloring book) I can get the pages done fairly quick. I do everything by hand. I tried to do grey scaling using photoshop but it is very difficult. Adobe purposely made the software difficult to use. Manga software came out which looks almost exactly like Photoshop with the exception of tools added specifically to produce manga pages. I used their instructions to try to use Photoshop. While PS's grey scaling is smooth and professional, I using paint in grey scaling or using a fine pen to cross hatch in the grey scale. The late Faithry had me as his official artist and in the middle of a commission he passed away. His family granted me permission to continue the use of the character as long as the character's mannerisms are kept as they are. I produced Dragon Heat, which is painted, but there was never many orders for it. Many spread DH around the internet and completely ruined my sales which is opposite of PitW.

I am drawing up reference views of the characters and presenting them to Kris for consideration. I will post more as they are finished.

I'm currently in active negotiations with two possible artists and have several more to approach if I can't reach agreement with them. I'm not ruling anybody out or accepting or rejecting instantly.

And I'm not announcing the new artist, whoever it is, until I have a page in hand and a Patreon account specific to PitW to pay for future pages.

Any artists who want to volunteer are welcome to do as AraChiya did; it gets my attention, if nothing else, and I'll remember.

I'm spreading the word on Peter is the Wolf, if that helps. Anything a guy who can't draw stick figures can do to help?

Anything the fans can do to help get more patrons and all?
