As I recall, Sarah's parents are out of town, and won't be back until "tonight".
I can just see it:
"Hi, Mom, Dad...Nothing important happened to the House or anything...
No, the gardener won't be here until tomorrow. To me? Well, I became a Lycanthrope...Uhhh, Yes, it's a sort of College thing....Oh, yes, they are Equal Rights and all of that. Dog? No, there hasn't been a dog in the house...Oh, those...just some leftovers from a Costume I'm working on, you know how I like to Costume!" (Starting to sweat, praying those Wolfsbane capsules are still potent.)
All the time, her Parents are busy with her sisters, and not really paying attention...after all, Sarah's so
nice: she'd never get in any
trouble....
The story oughta' be even more interesting, once they are in College. You realise that Sarah hasn't had to deal with any serious stresses without having at least Peter or Jean (or the Pack Elders) nearby. Wait 'till she has her first session in the Campus Bookstore! "Du-u-ude, if that Twelve foot Werewolf wants the last copy of 'Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire';...like, man, let her have it..."
KMacK...
"You don't have to be invisible when everybody is looking the wrong way..."
Writing the series "Wulfen Blood"... getting ready for publication.
