Since several of the werewolves in the pack hold sheriff positions I see that packs do not outright ban jobs that would be deemed hazardous but how do they deal with those types of jobs where a serious injury could easily let the secret out.

Are they banned from the military? Do they only do police/sheriff/firefighter duties in small towns where the secret is easy to contain?

Okay so the system is in place for a werewolf to get shuffled away from the scene of a IED or any event that would have killed a human.. But thinking on the more personal level of survival guilt or developing a martyr complex of always taking the most risky of duty and putting themselves in harms way more than needed. What happens when a werewolf wants to be a hero? Would they be killed for endangering the secret simply by wanting to do the right thing?

Not likely. They'd just be viewed as "lucky". And they'd be fairly cognizant of their restrictions since the beginning of bootcamp.

I would remark, though, that one occupation amongst 'hero' jobs that you're rare to find a werewolf in - Firefighter. (remember, it's one of their primal weaknesses!)

Here's an interesting question: when a werewolf dies, do they revert to one of their forms if they were in the other? For instance, a werewolf dies in human form. Do they revert to their werewolf form upon death? Vice-versa? Or do they stay in the form they were in when they died?

well, as Dr Abe mentioned, think of it as flexing a muscle. So that's why a dead werewolf usually shifts back to human when they die.
