I've actually not read it myself, but I love the 1978 animated film version. Given how much of an animation buff Bar is, I figured he'd have liked it too.

it is getting a little tiring. The plot is slow to begin with and then you have the very frequent missed updates. At least 1-2 missed updates a month for a page that only has 4 updates a month is pretty high. On top of that not even being warned, it feels a little like a kick in stomach. As Ganthan pointed out it's been two years since the last real penetration sex scene, I think we're long due for a new one maybe? I mean for all the sex ads the site has there hasn't been a whole lot of sex.

First of all, Kris has the story plotted out pretty well in advance. And it's well-written. That's what keeps me coming back - not teh sexors. There are simply going to be parts in the story where there isn't much kinkiness. If you just want fanservice, more fanservice and even more fanservice with a barely cogent plot, check out . Otherwise, just be patient.

Second, recall that Kris and Bar1 are essentially doing this for free. This isn't a pay-comic. They're under no contractual obligation to keep PitW on schedule or even afloat. That isn't to say you can't and shouldn't complain when an update is missed, but don't forget they have lives outside the comic.

You really don't get much income from the ads, trust me - especially given the growing prevalence of adblocker software. And I agree, they are shooting themselves in the foot when they fail to update and fail to warn the viewership. That said, I always remind myself that they are basically doing this for free and not to get worked up by it. If they really get flaky (ala http://www.alphaluna.net) I'll stop reading, but despite all these delays I still like the comic and will keep coming back.
